Today, information technology (IT) permeates almost all areas of social and business life – some of them even owe their existence to IT.
The B.Sc. Computer Science programme teaches students the principles and mathematical underpinnings of this key science. The aims of this programme include equipping students with the necessary tools to work as software developers, while conveying the scientific underpinnings and enabling them to think in terms of abstract structures. You will learn to put problems of computer science into precise statements, arrive at solutions by creating suitable mathematical models and implement optimised solutions on computer systems.
Building on this bachelor's programme, the University of Passau offers several master's programmes to which you can apply depending on your interests and qualifications. There you will deepen the knowledge you have already acquired and have the opportunity to specialise, first and foremost in one of the University's focus areas – sustainability and artificial intelligence.
