Many client PCs (e.g. computers in the FIM student computer pools) and servers allow or even require remote access. For whom access is permitted and which access methods are possible depends on the server or service.
For example, the computers in the FIM student computer pools are accessible via SSH and X2Go (graphical user interface) for every member of the university with a FIM ID.
