The student computer pools of the FIM
The FIM operates several central computer pools for teaching purposes. These pools are operated by the central system support of the FIM. To use these computer pools a FIM identification is required.
In the section Computer Pools you will find information about which pool rooms are available for different applications and how pool rooms can be reserved for teaching purposes.
Furthermore we inform you how to use special soft- and hardware in the pools and how data storage in the pools is done.
Students will also find information on how to use the pool computers for longer calculations (e.g. for bachelor or master theses) and what other possibilities exist to gain access to computing power.
In addition, some FIM chairs/facilities also offer a special service for their own workstations especially for their own teaching activities. Information on this can be found at the operating chairs/facilities.
