Akademische Lebenslauf:
Prof. Dr. Hans P. Reiser promovierte 2006 zum Dr. rer. nat. mit einer Arbeit zum Thema flexible und rekonfigurierbare Unterstützung für Objektreplikation. Von 2007-2010 arbeitete er als Assistenzprofessor am Large Scale Information System Laboratry (LaSIGE) an der Universität Lissabon, Portugal, und 2010 verbrachte er ein Semester als Gastprofessor an der Carnegie-Mellon-University, Pittsburgh, USA. 2011 wechselte er als Juniorprofessor an die Universität Passau und 2017/2018 verbrachte er ein Semester als Gastprofessor am Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT).
Forschungsgebiet:
Die Forschungsschwerpunkte von Prof. Dr. Hans P. Reiser sind Zuverlässigkeit und Sicherheit in verteilten Systemen, darunter Algorithmen und Architekturen für einbruchtolerante Systeme, Anpassungsfähigkeit und Selbstoptimierung von zuverlässigen Gruppenkommunikationssystemen, Konzepte für sicheres und zuverlässiges Cloud Computing sowie Methoden zur Malware-Analyse und Incident Investigation in Cloud-Umgebungen auf der Basis von Virtual Machine Introspection.
