Room reservation
All FIM pool rooms can be booked for FIM equipment-related teaching and events.
Pool IM 028 for supervised lectures and exercises
The pool room IM 028 (30 workstations with computers, 8 older workstations as stand-by devices) is available as a standard room for computer-based training events. To make a booking, please contact the university's general room allocation office directly.
The pool room is locked when no exercises are taking place. Keys for exercise instructors are available in the usual way from the university's property management department or the FIM dean's office.
For technical questions or inquiries about the required software environment, please contact FIM system support. A FIM ID is required to log in to the PC workstations, which university members can set up themselves. For one-time events with participants who do not have a FIM ID, we are happy to provide guest IDs upon request. Please let us know when the event will take place and how many IDs you need. For school groups participating in regular courses, we also offer IDs with longer validity periods.
Practice pools in the basement IM K08
The pool rooms in the basement are primarily intended for FIM students to practice freely. If the pool room IM 028 is already booked for the date of your event, you can also reserve the pool room IM K08d (24 workstations) for events by submitting a request to FIM Support (Email to support@fim.uni-passau.de).
For larger events with many participants, the pool room IM K08b (48 workstations) can also be reserved by contacting FIM Support.
When holding events in these practice pools, please put up clearly legible notices on the reserved pool room so that you are not disturbed during the event by students who want to practice freely.
