Digital Humanities Bavaria

In light of the ever-increasing role digitalisation plays in both research and many professional fields related to the humanities, this project is devoted to introducing students of humanities to the basics of computer science as well as digital humanities. In this sense, the project addresses the need for imparting the fundamentals of computer science and digital humanities to students of the humanities and social sciences.

Its remit is to develop two introductory courses in co-operation between Otto Friedrich University Bamberg and the University of Passau. Both universities, having committed themselves to interdisciplinary teaching at the intersection between the humanities and computer science, offer or are currently planning respective degree or certificate programmes.
