We are happy to announce that our paper "On Using Information Retrieval to Recommend Machine Learning Good Practices for Software Engineers" will be presented at the 31st ACM Joint European Software Engineering Conference and Symposium on the Foundations of Software Engineering (ESEC/FSE). Researchers from our group and from Universidad de Los Andes, propose Idaka. A tool that enables the retrieval of machine learning (ML) best practices via an information retrieval engine (BM-25 algorithm) and a large language model (Alpaca). The idea behind this platform is to aid users, in particular non-ML experts, in distilling relevant knowledge from the plethora of resources available about ML. The tool is also designed to allow comparative studies of best practices retrieval tools.
