Abstract

The aim of the project by EXASOL, SoftQuadrat and DKE is the conception and development of a hybrid database system based on EXASOL DB, which enables General Purpose Accelerators (GPAs) to accelerate AI applications and the associated efficient analysis of Big Data. Methods from the field of Artificial Intelligence, including Machine Learning and Deep Learning, are made available directly in EXASOL DB for data analysis. The application of the AI ​​algorithms is made possible by special modules and a new type of AI workflow. The integration of neural network-based data synthesis methods will complement the project. This results in a highly efficient, massively parallel and distributed database system with GPA support, which simplifies the use of AI in companies in a wide variety of industries or makes it possible in the first place.
